For 45 years, the Evanston based Piven Theatre Workshop has remained a nationally respected acting school and professional theatre. Piven is supported by the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation. The Foundation seeks to sustain and build resilient, engaged and equitable communities in the Chicago region and the Lowcountry of South Carolina by supporting conservation, arts, and collecting organizations in a variety of ways.
